About Audi F1 Team in 2026
Audi makes its full works entry into Formula 1 in 2026, taking over the Sauber operation based in Hinwil, Switzerland that it has been progressively acquiring. It is one of the biggest stories of the new era: a major German manufacturer committing to build its own power unit for the new regulations and run a complete factory team, with engine work centred in Germany at Neuburg.
The driver line-up blends experience and youth — the vastly experienced Nico Hülkenberg alongside Brazilian rookie Gabriel Bortoleto, the reigning Formula 2 champion and a member of the junior ranks. Audi's arrival is a long-term project, and 2026 is very much the starting point. Follow the team's debut works season with the latest news on this page.
