About Cadillac F1 Team in 2026

Cadillac is Formula 1's newest team, entering the grid as the eleventh squad in 2026 with the backing of American automotive giant General Motors. The project — rooted in the TWG and Andretti motorsport effort — represents the sport's most significant expansion in years and a major new American presence alongside the long-established races in Miami, Austin and Las Vegas.

Rather than throw rookies into the deep end, Cadillac opted for a seasoned line-up for its debut: former grand prix winners Valtteri Bottas and Sergio Pérez, both bringing years of front-running experience. The team runs customer power units initially while GM develops its own Cadillac power unit for later in the new era. Follow every step of F1's biggest new-entry story on this page.
